15 Mins Yellow Fever Vaccines Estimated Cost: Upfront Fee --- Rebate --- Out of Pocket $260 Make an appointment < Back About this Service Where to get yellow fever vaccines in Melbourne? Looking for a GP clinic in Melbourne that provides Yellow Fever vaccinations? Brunswick Doctors is an accredited Yellow Fever Vaccination Centre, conveniently located on Albion Street. Whether you live locally in Brunswick or Northcote, or are visiting from nearby Melbourne suburbs, our clinic makes it easy to get your Yellow Fever vaccine, often on the same day! *Same-day vaccination is subject to individual health circumstances, vaccine stock, and appointment availability. What is Yellow Fever? Yellow fever is a viral infection transmitted by infected mosquitoes. It can range from mild symptoms (fever, muscle pain, headache, nausea) to severe disease including liver failure, bleeding and jaundice. There is no specific antiviral treatment, so prevention through vaccination and mosquito bite protection is key. Why do I need a Yellow fever vaccine? After receiving your vaccine, you’ll be issued an International Certificate of Vaccination or Prophylaxis (ICVP) or ‘Yellow Card’. This official document serves as evidence of your vaccination and must be carried with you when travelling to or through countries where proof of Yellow Fever immunisation is required. Even for countries that don’t require it, vaccination is strongly recommended if you are travelling to or through an area where yellow fever transmission occurs, Because of global travel, mosquito vectors and travel-transit risk, vaccination remains the safest way to protect yourself and avoid entry denial or quarantine. Your Yellow Fever Checklist Schedule your appointment at least 10 days before departure, so the vaccine has time to take effect Bring your passport/travel itinerary so we can document the correct destination(s) if needed. After vaccination you will receive the ICVP (yellow card) which you must keep and carry. Continue to protect yourself from mosquito bites – vaccination is one part of protection, not the only measure. If you are pregnant, immunocompromised or have a history of severe allergy to vaccines, please be sure to let our doctors know, as you may not be able to get the vaccine. Keep in mind that entry requirements can change at short notice – check with your airline, destination country embassy/consulate and official travel health sources shortly before you leave. How much does Yellow Fever Vaccines cost in Melbourne? To get a yellow fever vaccine, please make an appointment with Dr Ali Sheaar or Dr Lakmali Jinadasa . Upfront Cost: $184.90 Medicare Rebates: $84.9 Out of Pocket Fee: $100 Cost for the Yellow Fever Vaccine: $160 Countries that Require Proof of Vaccination Some countries require all travellers to present a valid Yellow Fever vaccination certificate , no matter where they are arriving from. If you are travelling to any of the following destinations, you must be vaccinated before entering: Angola Burundi Central African Republic Democratic Republic of the Congo French Guiana Gabon Ghana Liberia Mali Rwanda Sierra Leone South Sudan Uganda Countries That Require Proof When Travelling From or Through a Risk Area Other countries are not Yellow Fever risk areas themselves but still require travellers to show a valid vaccination certificate if they have recently been in, or transited through , a country where Yellow Fever occurs — even for a short layover. Examples include: India China Australia Indonesia Thailand United Arab Emirates (including Dubai) Saudi Arabia Malaysia Panama Paraguay Trinidad & Tobago If your journey involves multiple flights or stopovers — particularly through Africa or South America — make sure to check the vaccination requirements for every country along your route. Even a brief airport transit can trigger the certificate rule. Countries With Ongoing Yellow Fever Risk (Vaccination Recommended) Certain destinations have active Yellow Fever transmission but may not require proof of vaccination for entry. However, getting vaccinated is highly recommended for your own protection , especially if you’ll be spending time outdoors or in rural areas. These include: Brazil Kenya Peru Ethiopia Bolivia Niger Chad Requirements change constantly, we strongly recommend travellers check the specific entry criteria for their destination and any transit countries well in advance of travel. - Menopause & Perimenopause | Brunswick Doctors
15 - 30 Mins Menopause & Perimenopause Estimated Cost: Upfront Fee --- Rebate --- Out of Pocket --- Make an appointment < Back About this Service Menopause & Perimenopause Care at Brunswick Doctors Menopause is often misunderstood and rarely spoken about, leaving many women to feel alone in their experience. The transition can bring with it a range of symptoms and challenges that affect both physical and emotional wellbeing. Many women feel unsupported as they deal with symptoms that affect their wellbeing at home, at work, and within their relationships. The emotional and mental health impact can be significant. Understanding Menopause and Perimenopause Perimenopause is the transitional phase leading up to menopause, often starting in a woman’s 40s , though it can begin earlier. Hormone levels fluctuate, and symptoms may come and go. Menopause is diagnosed when a woman has gone 12 months without a menstrual period , typically occurring between the ages of 45 and 55 . Post-menopause follows this stage, with ongoing changes in health risks and needs. Common Perimenopause and Menopause Symptoms Many women experience one or more of the following symptoms: Hot flushes and night sweats Sleep disturbances and fatigue Mood changes, anxiety, or low mood Vaginal dryness or discomfort during intimacy Irregular or heavy periods (in perimenopause) Difficulty concentrating or “brain fog” Changes in weight, skin, or hair Reduced bone density or joint pain While these symptoms are common, their severity and impact vary widely. Some women find them mild, while others find their daily lives significantly affected. First Step: Menopause & Perimenopause Assessment If you’re unsure whether the symptoms you’re experiencing are related to perimenopause, menopause, or another health condition, book an appointment with one of our doctors. This Medicare-funded health assessment offers clarity, support, and practical strategies to help you understand and manage your symptoms with confidence. Treatment Options There is no “one size fits all” approach to managing menopause. Treatment is guided by symptoms, lifestyle, and personal preferences. Options may include: Lifestyle strategies Regular exercise, healthy eating, reducing alcohol and caffeine, and stress management can improve both short-term symptoms and long-term health outcomes. Non-hormonal therapies: These include certain medications that can help with hot flushes, mood symptoms, or sleep issues, as well as vaginal moisturisers or lubricants for dryness. Hormone therapy (MHT / HRT): For many women, hormone replacement therapy can be a safe and effective option to relieve symptoms and protect against osteoporosis. Our doctors will discuss the benefits, risks, and whether this treatment is right for you. Preventative health screening This may include bone density scans, mammograms, cervical screening, and cardiovascular risk assessments, which are especially important during this stage of life. How We Can Help Our GPs provide Medicare-funded Menopause and Perimenopause Health Assessments at Brunswick Doctors. These comprehensive consultations cover: Detailed history and assessment of symptoms Blood pressure, height, and weight checks Screening and preventative health investigations as appropriate Personalised management planning Education on lifestyle, nutrition, and physical activity Referrals to specialists if needed Make an appointment with Dr Lakmali Jinadasa | Dr Juliana Quay | Dr Aqeela Kukkady Book Now

- About Us | Brunswick Doctors - Our Mission & Team
Find out more about Brunswick Doctors. Our healthcare team, our mission, and our commitment to providing top-notch medical services in Melbourne. About Us Our Story Our story began over 45 years ago with Dr Sonny Chin and Dr Diana Lo, a husband-and-wife GP team who built this clinic from the ground up. Back then, their young children could often be found doing homework in the back room, making the place feel like a second home. Fast forward to today, Sonny and Diana have since retired, enjoying the well-earned rest after decades of dedication. Yet not much has changed, except the biscuits are better, and now it’s little Henri (our youngest ‘team member’) making his rounds, greeting patients, and keeping us all on our toes. We’re proud to remain family-run , and this tradition inspires everything we do. We seek people with warmth, integrity, and compassion. Every doctor, nurse, and staff member here shares strong ethics, empathy, and a deep commitment to helping others. At the heart of our clinic is a simple belief, to treat every patient like a friend or family member. This belief continues to shape the way we welcome and care for each person who walks through our doors. From our family to yours, thank you for letting us be part of your community!
